Just Wanted to Say

At Indian Link, we tell stories of migration, identity and belonging. We often say that every Australian story begins with First Nations peoples, and recognising that truth enriches all our stories of home.

As we head into NAIDOC Week, amid ongoing conversations about who we are and where we belong, perhaps this is an opportunity to pause and listen - to First Nations voices, to the world's oldest living cultures, and to histories that continue to shape the country we share. Listening need not involve grand gestures. It can begin simply: by attending a local event, reading an Indigenous author, visiting an exhibition, or having a conversation that deepens understanding.

Mumbai is slowly losing its Irani cafés… but the stories they held? Those haven’t gone anywhere. Bombay Talkies step into a space where chai is poured, opinions are shared, and strangers become part of the same story.
