Black Friday: is it about need or greed? For many households, it’s a chance to buy essentials - clothes, a laptop, maybe a new appliance - without blowing the budget. Yet retailers know exactly how to crank up the FOMO, nudging us into buying things we never planned on. Those “too good to miss” deals can turn into “why did I buy that?” moments pretty fast. The trick is pausing long enough to ask: do I actually need this, or am I just being played?
