Just Wanted to Say

AUS V PAR, Friday 12 noon AEST.

What are plans at your workplace for tomorrow’s FIFA game? Day off? Half day? Or business as usual – albeit with a few strategically positioned tabs open?

At Indian Link’s predominantly female office, where football fandom is, let’s say, a work in progress, we’re joining in the spirit. It’s business as usual, but with the game playing on the office TV, and a casual lunch. On the menu, empanadas (for Paraguay), sausage rolls / pies (for Australia), and mini samosas for us - because unanimously, loaded nachos with Indian spices didn’t make the cut.

We may not be football people, but today we absolutely are. Go the Socceroos. 🦘

Say it Again

What Australia needs, like the rest of the world needs, is governments that take us forward. There are big challenges in this country, like there are around the world that the Government's grappling with... We won't move forward if we get stuck in these cultural debates that are all aimed at dividing people.
