Her ill-judged rant on 3 Sept about Indian migrants being Labor’s imported vote bank backfired spectacularly, and her stubborn silence sealed the deal. Yet, for us, this feels less like closure and more like an intermission... If nothing else, JacintaGate has reminded us that in 2025, no community deserves to be maligned en masse. So how do we, Australians of Indian origin, move forward? By doing what we have always done - working hard, contributing fully, and ensuring that on history’s page, at every stage, we advance Australia fair. |
