Someone wrote in last week asking what ICYMI means. It’s short for In Case You Missed It, the internet’s friendly nudge to catch up.
We live in a world of abbreviations, don’t we? There’s FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), my version JOMO (Joy of Missing Out), and my personal favourite, TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read).
They say so much, so fast. So here’s one I’m adding to the list: IYKYK (If You Know, You Know).

Two Indigenous writers from Australia (Ali Cobby Eckermann and Merinda Dutton) join two Indigenous writers from India (Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar and Beni Sumer Yanthan) in a creative exchange, sharing new work that explores (de)colonisation, language preservation, oral storytelling, and the art of connecting with publishers and readers as First Nations voices.
