Excitement! Then, recoil. That was me this week – hours before a visit to Old Delhi called off because a car bomb went off in the bustling, heaving 400-year-old shopping and cultural haven. Thirteen dead, many injured. It’s heartbreaking how violence can shatter heritage and memory alike. For those of us far away, it’s a deep ache - nostalgia turning into worry. Yet Delhi endures, reopening its shops, offering prayers, and carrying on with that stubborn blend of faith and defiance that keeps this city’s spirit unbroken. |
